I searched and couldn't find anything ... seems like I would have. How well (if at all) does a MBP drive a widescreen TV watching DVDs? Thanks.

Fantastic! Using my BenQ 24" display and my new MacBook Pro (2.4 GHz with 4 gigabytes), only the sound suffers. It needs an external sound system. The picture is full screen. sam

Works fine... the 42" HDTVs are the same resolution as the 24" 'computer' LCDs (or less... could be lower resolution than the 20" 'computer' LCDs).
