Pixel - Strangely Stuck or Dead?

My new MacBook Pro has a weird pixel - it looks as if it is the color purple (not the movie ) on a white background, and it is not as noticeable as other stuck pixels I have seen in the past. In fact, it looks as if it does not take up the space of the entire pixel - here's a photo I snapped:
When I run PiXel Check, the pixel does not show up on a blue or red or black background, but appears as a black dot on a green background.
Has anyone else seen this before? I'm thinking that one out of the three transistors for this particular pixel is wonky?
Has anyone out there successfully fixed a pixel like this? I ran jscreenfix, but no luck.

Black pixel means dead pixel, not stuck. THAT would have to be replaced.

Apple won't replace it unless you unleash a hellish fury upon their employees, and that's bad karma. I think you shouldn't worry about it. Because as soon as you stop worrying, you won't see it anymore anyway.

I wouldn't mind that pixel either, but that big red halo would really annoy me.

I've got a stuck pixel that's reddish like that on my new MBP. I tried the gentle massage trick, and jscreenfix as well and neither helped. I just gave up and I don't really notice it anymore.

Sorry to hear about the red pixel, mine is actually not the whole pixel, it's less noticeable than that, and I'm grateful for that.
No, there's no way I'm returning this machine - it's a fantastic unit and I can certainly live with 1 or 2 wonky transistors out of 3.9 million. I was just curious if anyone else had run into this particular pixel anomaly.

My first SR MBP had a stuck pixel, it was white not so noticeable, but it annoyed me anyway. I called Apple up, and the lady said they wouldn't replace the screen for one stuck pixel. So I said i'd like to return the machine(we don't have to pay a re-stocking fee here). I returned the machine, and a week after i ordered a new one from the Apple Store. Got the new one after a week, and voila, no stuck pixels.
I did notice though, that my first MBP had a Samsung panel, while the new one had a LG panel instead. Not that it has anything to do with it

Is a stuck or dead pixel really that bad of a thing? It also appears to be a Mac-only problem... I've heard lots about stuck/dead pixels since I signed up on MacNN Forums, but I've never heard about stuck or dead pixels on any of the PC forums I was on.

No its not a bad thing, people seem to think that if they spend over 2k for a laptop then is has to be absolutely perfect. I can kind of understand that logic to a point but when it comes to displays, LCD panels contain millions of transisters. It doesn't seem to make sense to throw out a perfectly good panel because one out of what 2 million transisters failed.
And no this is not a mac only problem. Dell has (had?) a forum and when I owned a dell laptop years ago, the same conversations came up. Some people get a little more worked up about dead pixels then other and typically you see more people complain about a display then about people saying they got a perfect display.
Edit: besides look how small that pixel is, barely visible. I've had a stuck pixel on a PB before and to be honest you could barely see it. (it was stuck to red) if you squinted and searched hard you'd see it. Now the placement of that pixel was about third of the way off the center so it would have been in area where you word work but still it was barely noticeable. With today's higher resolution displays the pixels have shrunk to even small sizes which makes it even harder to see
