Hi all, just got an external usb flash drive and i'm trying to copy some data but I see nothing on my laptop screen (I check my usb port by using other device like printer and they work fine). I don't have any driver that comes with this usb flash drive. Any idea what should I do? thanks for the help!.

What do you mean you "see nothing on my laptop screen?" Do you mean that you don't see the drive mount on the desktop? Have you tried a different USB port? Is this a little flash stick or is it an actual drive? More details about the device would help.

Yes, exactly no drive mount on the desktop. Both usb ports are fine as I tried my printer or psp/phone on them. This is flash stick (8GB) USB drive.

It's possible, though highly improbable, that the USB ports are not supplying enough power for an 8GB stick. Is there a light on this thing that comes on? Do you have a powered external hub that you can try it in? Do you have other USB devices on the chain that are drawing a lot of power?

Launch Disk Utility and report back whether the drive shows up.

Thanks here's what I found
Verifying volume “NO NAME”
** /dev/disk1s1
Filesystem too big (256863 clusters) for non-FAT32 partition
Error: The underlying task reported failure on exit
1 non HFS volume checked
Volume needs repair
I dunno what it means but could it be the USB stick has internal error or broken?
