i just recently bought a macbook (about 3 weeks ago) and has sent in my rebate form almost as soon as i got it, and i havnt recieved it yet, and i was wondering if anybody has recieved the rebate yet?

Three weeks wait for a rebate is barely enough time for the mail to have gotten to its destination. Most rebates include a warning that it could take 6, 8, 10, even 12 WEEKS for the rebate to be delivered. Patience, grasshopper.

I sent mine in about a month ago but I expect to get it sometime in September...I did get an email from them though, that they had received my information, which was reassuring.

Yesterday I got back 2 rebate checks from Apple, the Free ipod Nano with Macbook purchase $199 check and the Perfect Companion $100 check for the free printer with Macbook purchase. I was surprised since I only sent the forms in on the 6th, so it took less than 3 weeks to get back.

Not completely off topic,
I signed up for DirectTV and they had (have?) a rebate when you selected their DVR. a week after the installation I submitted the rebate form electronically This was the beginning of June mind you. I just received an email from DirectTV stating that they received the rebate form and will process it in 6 to 8 weeks. wtf it takes 6 to 8 weeks to just to receive my electronic submission and another 6 to 8 weeks to process/mail it.
Its not a lot of money, I hope apple does a better job

I bought my macbook pro and Ipod 30 gigs on august 1st.
I received yesterday an email saying that my rebate envelope has gotten to destination and that from here, I should wait 4 to 8 weeks to receive my money.
Just check your email guys and double check your junk mail folders. :-)

To update this thread, I sent in my rebate in mid-August, and got my rebate check this week. I was VERY surprised but also very pleased.

Thats impressive. I bought my macbook around this time last year and it took me a few months to recieve my rebate.
