I have a MacBook Pro 2.33 GHz. It came with 2 gigabytes of memory (2 sticks, 1 gb each).
I've been considering maxing the memory out to 3 gb, by replacing one of the sticks with a 2 gb module. However, the information I'm reading recommends that both memory modules be the same size for the best memory transfer rates.
My question is -- should I replace one of the modules in a 2 gb + 1 gb configuration, or should I change both modules out in a 2 gb + 2gb configuration?
