So my MacBook is tinged with yellow on the bottom left portion of the hand rest area. I heard that the Magic Eraser can get rid of it, but where can I buy it and for how much? Is it really called the Magic Eraser? I tried looking at a couple of stores to no avail. What location is it in (next to the mousepads?)?

it's the mr clean magic eraser. not sure on the price but i got a stash from my brother when he moved out. it works on the dark dirt stains, but i'm not sure about yellow stains as that could be discolouration from heat or poor plastic.

and from the context of your post, you went to a computer store? try a department store like wal-mart in the cleaning section.
here's a picture of what it looks like

i've used one to clean up two iBooks now... works like a CHARM! both looked practically new when finished. take your time, and if you do the keyboard, work slowly and avoid getting chunks of the 'eraser' torn off and lost under the keys...

also i find keeping one side dry really helps clean up the wet mess of dirt you have moved around. it will take a few runs to fully get everything off.

If you are having the staining problem common to first-gen MacBooks, Apple should repair it free of charge.

And be careful-the "Magic Eraser" is a very fine abrasive. That's no big deal for Formica or latex paint, but too much pressure can scuff plastic.
