Hello all,

I was trying to get a game to work through parallels, but it seems that there is an issue with the drivers. From the looks of it, parallels installs drivers for you, but it isn't recognized by the games.

My question is, is there a way to properly install drivers (specifically video drivers) through parallels or bootcamp to be able to run games or is there really no hope for that? (i know macbooks aren't gaming machines but i got a little bored)

Also, is it possible to run directX games through these 2 programs?

thanks for your time.

Parallels is virtualization technology, don't expect it to be able to play games, the software doesn't support it.

Bootcamp is a utility used to partition and install Windows onto your MacBook as well as the necessary drivers.

We have a dedicated forum to this, Alternative OS. Please look there for more detailed information.

Since this is a cross-post dupe, I'll close it.
