Are the glossy screen alternatives more subject to scratches than the matte option? I'm thinking of replacing my MBP with 17" and am worried about scratches. I have already read about glare and such but i don't think that will be a problem in my environment. Any user experience out there on the subject? Is the glossy acrylic or glass?

No more then the matte screen though I suspect that it may be more noticeable on the glossy screen

I've got a glossy display on my 1st gen MacBook and it hasn't got any scratches, but might be due to me putting it near anything that might cause harm
