this is wierd.... my battery always shows me that is fully charged... always...right before of going to sleep cuz is run out of battery the meter says 100%.... what is that.? how can i fix that.? i have all the battery updates btw...

I think I speak for most everyone when I say: Huh?

Do you mean that your battery always indicates full even when you are running off of battery power and even when the battery is run all the way down?

Which machine? Which OS?

i'd call apple and let them know. how old is your computer? if its less than a couple of weeks, you might want to ask for a new one.

a month old.... and the battery lights also indicates that is full even if it is empty...

no.. ddn't work out.. besides...that is senseless... how is it gonna work if there is no battery or ac plugged in.. its gota be with the battery plugged...

It's not senseless. As with any computer, the MBP has a separate small watch battery on the logic board which powers the SMC chip (similar to the BIOS chip in a PC) and allows your computer to boot.

ok...that makes sense....but what is supposed to happen when i hit and hold the shut down button for 5 seconds... is supposed play a sound.? or flash a lile light or what.? cuz probably i did it the wrong way

no...

just follow the directions above and maybe try a pram reset (holding apple+opt+r+p on restart) and hopefully it'll fix, if not...take your computer to the nearest apple store.
NOW YOU SEE ME! 2.4 MBP and 2.0 MBP (running ubuntu)

hey i didn't do ur thing.. but a did the SMC thing ad after a while been connected i noticed that now it ays the charge left and the time remaining and stuff... but ill see... just to be sure eveything is fine...
