DVI powerbook works, but screen stays gray

I have a 15" Titanium powerbook 1ghz, and i recently replaced the logic board. It starts up properly, but the screen remains that light startup gray. When in os x, i can adjust the brightness of the gray screen by using the brightness keys. Plugging into an external monitor allows me to see what I'm doing other than that. What can I do?
