So I have to replace my trusty MDD for a laptop and my ideal choice would be the latest 15 incher PB incarnation, please don't call me names, I still can run a PPC machine… and I guess FreeHand MX -yeah, that one- would be more than happy running under a PPC environment, I want to think such PowerBook is far from being nearly useless today… and tomorrow.

I don't want a 17" even when I have that possibility, I have had a 17 PB and it was too big for my taste… in a nutshell, I am selling / trading the set-up below…

* Power Mac G4 MDD 1,25 GHz DDR
1,25 GB RAM (512+512+256)
HD: 80 + 80 + 160 (ST380011A - ST380011A - ST160021A)
one internal DVD-CDRW Apple Combo drive
one internal DVDRW SuperDrive 16x dual layer Pioneer DVR-710 (DVR-111D)
AlchemyTV DVR PCI rev. b
ATI 9000 Pro 64 MB
Belkin USB2 PCI card -four ports-
Apple Pro Speakers
Apple mouse & keyboard

* Display to choice between Philips TFT or NEC CRT -both 17"-

* Wacom Intuos II A4 -never used still in box-


That's all… please note I am talking 'Europe' here, you could get a MacBook Pro here @ the Marketplace board for what they ask for a PB like that 15" over here… anybody surprise thought

i don't think it's a problem of it being a good or bad trade but rather finding somebody who has a powerbook and is willing to make that trade.

personally i wouldn't go from a powerbook to a g4 tower (even if its dual processor), but a g5 would def catch my attention.

Thanks iREZ… and my apologies, bad wording on my behalf… by 'trade' I also mean the possibility to sell my set-up and get a PB like that one… of course I rather doubt anyone would downgrade from a 1,67 GHz PB to a 1,25 GHz Power Mac even when the Power Mac includes typical stuff like additional HDs, PCI cards and maybe the best value, the Wacom Intuos II A4…

Well, all I need is to find a Mac OS 9 lover…
