I'm in the market for a new stand for my MacBook Pro. I'm a Computer Science major and find myself constantly compiling one thing or another. My MacBook Pro is used on my desk at home and I've noticed that it can get very hot during compiles. I was wondering which stand, the Elevator or the mStand, would allow for better heat dissipation.

My initial thought is that the Elevator would dissipate heat the best as it exposes more of the MacBook Pro to open air and can help to promote better air circulation. Where as the mStand covers a portion of the bottom of the MacBook Pro.

I've also considered the iLap, but since it leaves even less of the MacBook Pro open to the air, I figured that it would provide the worst heat dissipation out of the three.

If there is another stand that may suit my needs, please let me know.

Thank you in advance,
Justin
