HI,

Just wondering if it is possible to replace the LCD on my current 2.16ghz 15.4inch Core 2 Duo with the new Santa Rosa LED LCD without modification?

Anyone?

Wouldn't be cheap if they are pin compatible. External displays should all be LED some time next year.

The display connection itself may be compatible (standard dual link LVDS), but an older MBP has no idea how to control an LED backlight, nor does it have the hardware to do it.
