I thought my MacBook has shut down at first, but the LCD backlight seems to have died. When I look closely at the screen I can still see the desktop and the icons (and I was able to run my backup program my shining a flashlight on the screen, fortunately). I've got AppleCare, but I can't find a mention of this problem on the Apple website. I'm on a really tight schedule, so I need to know if this repair will be covered under AppleCare and how long it should take before I bother to go there in person.

Thanks

It hasn't been "broken," right? Then it's covered.
