I've had this PB since 2004 and I've only been using the built-in 256MB of RAM, so I want to upgrade.

Looked at Crucial and their 1GB is around $100, which is a lot for me, I'm back at college now, so I have to be careful about money. I checked OWC and they have a 1GB for $72 1GB (1024MB) PC2100 DDR 266MHz 200 Pi... (OWC2100DDRSO1024) at OWC

Is this a good buy? Since I'm back in school, I need the best performance from my PB (or Old Faithful) so I'm finally upgrading. Or does anyone know of any better deals?

Thanks.

That's pretty good, and will transform your PB.

Not a bad deal. The extra RAM will help out your 12in Powerbook a lot. The difference between my 12in with 768 RAM and my friend's with 256 was very apparent. Crucial is a solid supplier. Go for it.

If you've been using a 12" with 256 megs of Ram, you will be AMAZED at how fast your computer will be with the new chip in there.
