Newegg sells Crucial for lower prices than Crucial sells Crucial.

There are plenty of "vendors" on newegg that offer quality memory *with* a lifetime warranty for much cheaper than Crucial. I'd buy a Corsair, Patriot, or Kingston stick over a Crucial stick any day of the week.

But if you want to pay more for the same quality, by all means.

All glory to the hypnotoad.

Crucial has an edge over Corsair, Patriot, and Kingston-they actually manufacture their RAM (chips and everything), whereas the others buy chips from other sources and use them to build their RAM. That means Crucial has the capability of keeping everything to tighter tolerances. For the same price or even a little more, I'd go with Crucial. Not to say that Corsair and Kingston aren't very good choices (and Patriot to a lesser extent), just that there IS a difference.
