Where can I find one of these? iFixit is out of stock at the moment and OWC does not carry them.

you might try craigslist for someone selling one on the cheap, e.g., one whose logic board is toast but the CD drive still works.

I have one, complete and alleged to be working. It won't work in the clamshell I installed it in, but I'm 99% sure that's because the CD-ROM cable for the clamshell is dead - not the drive. It was sold to me as tested & working, but I can't test it.

i got mine from ebay, even got the cable there too. most older model laptop cd/dvd ide drives will actually work on it, just remember to unscrew the adaptor off your current one and put it on the new one and replace the drawer cover too
