well i have my macbook pro 15" for just about a month and few days. Everything is going fine, i love it, although i think the screen is a little loose, i made my peace with that. BUT recently i noticed that the battery life on iStat pro widget is 88 % in 1 month and few days !! is that normal ? or my battery is damaged ?

I never had a perfect battery ! it started at 98% , then i re-calibrated it and it was still at 98% it did not work.

I usually use the laptop at home and school. I charge it at night, and use it at school. If my battery runs out i have my charger to plug it in. I don't turn it off that often. I just close the screen lid and let it sleep.

If i do need to replace it, how much will it cost ? i have applecare

can someone advise, thanks

Your battery should be fine. iStat is probably just wrong. Try downloading and using iBatt. See if you get different results from it.

Somehow I doubt apple will replace it for free under applecare unless its noticeably messed up.

Calibration sometimes leads to slightly low full capacity estimates. Recalibrate and it will likely be back up there again. Full capacity of a new 15" MBP battery should be around 5400 mAh.
