dashboard keyboard shortcut keeps resetting

Hi all,

Not sure if many other people suffering from this problem, I know one of my friends is, but for some reason I cant find the answer anywhere. For the past months or so my expose keyboard shortcuts on my MacBook keep resetting. I'm talking about the F9-F12 keys. By default they are supposed to open expose and dashboard but for some reason mine keep resetting. I assign the shortcuts and they work fine, then after an hour or so they have been disabled. I have to go back into the preference pane for the key board shortcuts to enable them again. I've lost track of how many times I've done it by now and it is really starting to annoy me.

Hopefully someone here can help or at least shed some light on to why it keeps happening
