I was going to install Iwork08 but can't without verios 10.4.10. Should I do this? I have a lynksis router and have heard bad things about this update and kernel panics.

I would like iWork08 but not the kernel panics. Anybody having these problems?

There is nothing about Linksys routers and 10.4.9 or 10.4.10. There are some AirPort updates that DO impact functionality for SOME people in SOME situations. If you're fine with your AirPort performance, don't install the updates. Really, go all the way to 10.4.10 and ignore the AirPort updates and you should be fine. And if you are going wired to the router, there's nothing at all to worry about.

But you didn't mention if you had a MacBook or iBook-which might help us figure out the kernel panic thing you're talking about.

I don't personally have the problem since I haven't updated. However, many who are running 10.4.10 are. I do not ever go wired...So thats out. I did the AirPort update a while ago. No problems.

I have devided to install. I'll keep you posted on the results.

p.s. i just realize i worte 10.4.9 on the title, whoops, i meant 1.4.10
