I Got An Ibook And Someone Downloaded For Me Garageband And Adobe..but When I Click On Garage Band Icon On My Computer It Will Not Come Up..the Bottom Destop Shows The Garage Band Icon Wen I Clik It But It Disappears And It Does Not Come Up!!!

Could You Please ReWord the Problem with More Descriptive Words? It is really hard to read and understand when you write like that.

It sounds like the Icon in the task bar is not linked to the actual app.
Have you tried opening GB from the applications folder?

The OP sounds like the poster is not a native-speaker of English, so let's not jump on him/her too quickly.

AC218, if the program is pirated, you won't get any help here, but if you have a legal copy, try to explain what's happening as clearly as you can.

To be fair, it's not necessarily downloaded from the internet my boss talks about 'downloading' things from a CD or external HDD all the time

If a friend "gave" it to him though without uninstalling it on his system, it's pirated.

True, I just wanted to point out the possibility of people who aren't so computer litterate confusing things with the wrong word.
