I recently(about 2 months ago) Switched to a Macbook Pro From a PC...
And i have some "problems" with my MBP...
First...when the lid is shut...there is a little gap on the left side...and when the laptop in on stand-by mode...the apple logo suddenly lights up for a while...
and the screen is leaves a LOT of gap in the right side...it seems perfect on the left....
Also i sometimes get "electric shocks" on the edges of my laptop while typing, this only happens when the laptop is plugged in...
So, are tease probs really serious or what
EDIT:
Forgot to mention one more prob..when i open the lid when the laptop is on standby...the screens appears a little blueish for a while before becoming normal again

Sounds like a series of issues, maybe a combination of defects in the case. I'd return it for a replacement.

I have a bit of separation in my MBP screen when closed -- the right front corner sits flush, but the left front corner sits about 3 mm higher. Between the corners, there is some separation varying from 0-2 mm. I've always taken this as normal and within tolerance.

Is your MBP is substantially different (your first post makes it seem that way) ?

Also, the shocking is abnormal. Are you using the grounded plug? Is your work area prone to static electricity?
