Gee, I could've sworn I just posted this. I can't find the original thread. It's probably in another section.

When I go to upload photos from Iphoto, I cannot. It is dimmed out. This happens with other applications as well. Also, I'm probably the only one who doesn't know this but:
as far as downloading music from my ipod to my computer goes, is this impossible?

i know for sure my cd burner won't do anything. are the files just different?

i just bought this computer and i've used a g4 before but this stuff is annoying
thanks in advance

How are you trying to upload photos? What are you trying to do? Load photos to MySpace or similar? Tell us more about what you want to do and how you are trying and we can try to help.

To put songs from iPod onto computer, use software called senuti -- available at versiontracker.

Again, the CD burner -- what are you trying to do? How are you trying to do it? We need more info beforw we can help.

Here's your original thread.

And here is my response to that thread in case you still can't find it:

I am unable to click on them. Particularly Iphoto, I cannot choose to upload from that program. I don't see a folder for it either.
Do you mean you double-click on them and nothing happens?

I don't understand that bold sentence.

You cannot burn songs to a CD-R directly from your iPod. You can burn songs you purchased from the iTunes Music Store to a CD-R though.

You cannot copy music from a iPod onto a Mac with Apple software. You'll need a 3rd party application to do that, Why/how do you have songs on your iPod that are not on your Mac?

any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated
What Operating System did your G4 use?

EDIT: OS=Operating System

well, for starters the ipod question you had about why aren't they on my computer?
because I don't have the same computer as before. I do have an external hard drive with some of the music on it which I loaded onto it from cd's. thanks for the senuti recommendation. i'll check it out.

yes, I try to double click on some programs and it doesn't work. i'll have to get you more details on that....i realise that is somewhat vague. yes , the iphoto application...

i attempt to upload to myspace and gmail to no avail, yet photobooth works just fine
thanks for your help

To upload to myspace and such, choose the photo you want to use from within the iPhoto app. Drag it to you desktop, or use the export function in the app to export to your desktop. Then upload from there. You can't just choose a photo in the library in finder, you need to use the app and make the photo available from there.
