My MBP 2,3 15" has a very uneven lit display, making it practically impossible to use it to edit photos.

I have of course complained, but Apple says it is "within specifications".

I have tried to get these specifications from Apple, but no one replies.
Except a sales manager suggesting that I sell it and get a new !!!!!!
It is under warranty (5 months old).
Does anyone know the exact specs that Apple has for a MBP displays.
Does it allow a difference in luminance of more than 50 % ?

My Core Duo 2.0GHz MBP is on its 3rd display for exactly that problem. I had no problem getting it repaired by Apple here in the US twice. I hope that this time it keeps working.

I've seen worse to be honest, but I've seen better too. You should either call Applecare and get a Customer Satisfaction code, or try an independent AASP.
MacBook 2.0GHz CD; MacBook Pro 15" 2.4GHz Late '08; PowerMac G4 MDD Dual 1GHz; 3x Xserve G4 1GHz; Mac Mini 2GHz; Big pile of broken and working bits;
