Hi,

I'm a Securities Trader & i use the internet ALL the time to trade online.

Not sure how many types of Apple laptops are available in the market. Can somebody pls. recommend the ultimate Apple Laptop for my profession.

I need SPEED, RELIABILITY & INTERNET CONNECTION !

There are two types -- macbook and macbook pro. Both will do internet speedily and very well. Both are equally very reliable. However, the macbook pro is faster -- although you won't notice a speed difference with the Internet, just on apps that use more CPU for crunching data and algorithms (like Photoshop, iMovie, etc.).

If you're a successful trader (i.e., you make lots of money), get a macbook pro. You will want the larger screen. (The macbook pro comes in 15" and 17" screens; the macbook has only 13".)

I also read somewhere that i'll need a APPLE ROUTER to get hooked up the NET if i'm using a MAC ?!

no. Any B/G/N router will work. Apple sells their own under the Airport Express/Airport Extreme names, but products from anyone will work. I'm partial to Linksys.

No, the PowerBook is an old Apple Laptop. There is only the MacBook and the MacBook Pro.
