The info below is taken from my system profiler, since I don't know what exact revision my macbook is. Only that I bought it early 2007 and it came originally with 1gb (2x512mb) (bought in January/Feburary?). I just wanted to make sure if I went out and bought a single dimm stick of 2GB, would my Macbook be able to support the 3GB no problem? I just want to make sure before I do it and find out it only supports up to 2gb like apple says.

Model Name: MacBook
Model Identifier: MacBook2,1
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache: 4 MB
Memory: 1.5 GB
Bus Speed: 667 MHz
Boot ROM Version: MB21.00A5.B07

All Core 2 Duo Macs support at least 3GB.

Your MB belongs to the first generation of C2D MacBooks. That model was released in Nov 2006. And yes, it does support 3 GB RAM. Just make sure you get 200 pin SO-DIMMs.
