I just got a new Macbook (2.16 C2D, 1 GB Ram). I think the total ram it can handle is 2gb. Is it worth the cost to max out the ram? Once I can afford it I want to get a USB TV tuner and use it to record TV Shows, Movies and import them into my iTunes on my Mac Mini (Core Solo).

I believe that the max ram it can take is 4GB. You will definitely thank yourself if you go up to 2 GB of ram. I don't think 4BG is necessary. Others may disagree though.

Your MacBook supports 3GB RAM (2+1). You can physically install 2x2, but you'll only be able to use 3GB. Given how cheap RAM is, it's worth it.

Two gigs is plenty for most tasks, but definitely upgrade from 1.

The Nov 2007 revision does support a full 4GB.

Right, but the OP has a 2.16Ghz model, so it can't be the late 2007 revision.
