Leopard has breathed some life into my Al PB - its certainly "snappier" and I'm thinking about using it on the road but I need a battery. Does anyone have a suggestion? The other thing I am thinking about is taking apart the battery and replacing the individual cells in it - but again could someone point me in the right direction? I have read good things about the A123 li-on batteries but theres nothing about putting it into laptop use....

OK put another way - where would someone suggest I purchase a higher capacity laptop battery?

Idk, all i know is that ever since i installed leopard into my 1.67ghz powerbook, i cant get more then 90 - 120 minutes on a full battey. i was typing a paper today and saw it drop from 100% to 49% in 42 minutes! Im going to put tiger back on it until things get ironed out.

This is crazy - I decided to bite the bullet and order a replacement battery - I got off the phone and accidentally knocked the pb over - effectively cracking the screen in the bottom left corner - the screen itself is not cracked but the glass in the lcd screen has about a 3 inch crack starting from the corner. it scatters the light making anything above the crack dimmer.

should I cancel the order and wait till the subnotebook arrives? or suck it up ...arrrrr

it makes sense - the cpu meter in leopard never goes below 5-10 % for me.
