Has anyone done their own benchmark test as to how much RAM this particular MBP can take? Specifications say 2GB. I just want to hear someone say that it can support 3 or 4GB. That would be wonderful

All MBPs recognize at least 3 GB. Models introduced this year can address a full 4 GB.

MA464LL/A is 2Ghz Core Duo... supports 2GB (officially and in reality).

Almost.

CD Calistoga MBP (early 2006): 2 GB
C2D Calistoga MBP (late 2006): 3 GB (will take 2x2GB but will only address 3 GB)
C2D Crestline MBP (mid 2007): 4 GB
