I need to send my Powerbook off for repairs. It needs a new logic board. Anybody have any suggestions? I no longer have the apple warranty and I don't want to spend a fortune on the repairs.


Any advice would be appreciated.

If you are good with electronics you could buy a board off eBay and swap it yourself.

Or maybe Geek Squad might be of service?

I have used iReq iResQ.com - (Formerly iPodResQ.com) - The Nation's Premier iPod, iPhone, PowerBook, MacBook, MacBook Pro and Mac Desktop Repair Center!
Great service and they where fast. They sent a box to put the computer in and had it back in a few days. I have used them several times for laptop and iPod repair.
