i've been noticing that safari and mozilla are running extremely slow! i'm currently connected to the internet via airport and i compared my loading time (trying to open up google) to a compaq AMD processor with 797 MHz and was......

VERY DISAPPOINTED

now, take in mind that i have one of the LATEST UPGRADED macbook's available.. running on a 2.2 GHz processor.

anyone else have the same issue and/or know how to resolve this?

thanks,
-a very frustrated mac user

the first step is to delete the caches located in ~/library/caches

quit the browsers, delete those caches, and then restart the browsers.

Do you have any browser plug-ins? Have you simply tried to reboot your machine to see if it still happens after a reboot?
