Hello all, my dad's TiBook has been having an odd issue lately. It's always logged into our network automatically (it's called ScottNet and I have WEP security). However, as of the last few months, it's been logging into another network (called linksys) automatically instead of ScottNet. It adds linksys to the trusted networks list, but I keep on deleting it and it still gets added. Why doesn't it go to mine (which has been on the trusted list for years? Any help would be appreciated.

What happens if you delete it and then select Preferred networks only?

It asks to join the linksys network and add that to preferred networks. It's very confounding.

I've experienced this, and in my case it seemed to be that the Mac was refusing to remember the password to my wireless network, so it was defaulting to the next one on the list (linksys), which happened to be wide open.

What fixed my problem was deleting the Keychain item containing my wireless network's password. After that, I manually rejoined the network and checked the box where it indicates that it should remember the password.
