I am sitting here right now and I'm hearing a loud hum coming from my new MB's fan, is this a known issue?

Everyone knows that a new Mac likes to meditate upon meeting his/her's new owner.

Kidding. Is it just idling? Or has the fan been on for a while?

Just idling, I just got it 2 days ago and haven't done much with it. The only thing that got the fan's spinning is when I was installing Leopard (I switched out the 5400 RPM HD with a 7200 RMP one) and when using Migration Assistant.

edit: I can only hear the hum when there is no noise in the room.

Is it like a high pitch hum that is barely audible? Mine does that too, sometimes it will stop and go depending on how I am using the computer.
