Perhaps you've delt with this problem before. A time when the machine takes you to the Login window and you forget your password(The window that shakes when it refuses to login).

Anyway, the problem is not entirely the password, but how to get around it. There is simply no way to get through to the desktop, No way to even create a limited user account (like in Windows), there are important files in this machine that I'm literally on my knees to recover!

So then:
*I forgot my password
*iBook G4 with Mac OS-X
*No way around the login window

What am I to do? ._____.'

Boot with the OS X Installation CD/DVD and reset the password.

or,

access the HD by means of "T" mode, or put HD in an external enclosure, or install into PC with two bays, to access data.

I don't think you need password to access using "T" mode.
