When browsing my new Macbook for the first time, the introduction tour showed Photobooth and requires my snapping a photo before it moved on with the tour. However, without asking my permission Apple Mail in my new Macbook has inserted my photo in every email that I sent out, much to my embarrassment.

Now, having followed the instruction in Apple Mail for removing the photo, it still persistenty showed up in every email.

Can someone please guide me how to solve this problem?
As a last resort, I'm thinking of deleting the Apple Mail application, and then re-installing it again. Any views?

The photo is inserted ON YOUR MACHINE ONLY to help you quickly identify the sender (it's inserted on both sent and received mails). The image is pulled from whatever is set as the contact's image in Address Book (where you can either make a camera snapshot for a contact or simply drag any photograph or other image into the image field). If there is no image assigned in Address Book, no image will show up.

It is NOT sent out with each e-mail.

Thanks so much for your quick reply, analogika. It's such a relief to hear your words because when I sent emails and copied them back to myself and saw my photo, I almost fainted. But, that's a sneaky thing for Apple Mail programmers to do!
Moral of the story - never fool around in front of a camera.
