Hi there, I've just joined this forum to quiz all your brains on what I hope is a simple question... I'm looking to buy a second hand mac laptop to run a digital back on a medium format camera. What I'd like to know is: What laptop has the most power delivered to it's firewire port? I'm in the market to buy anything - without spending a fortune - 12" screen is fine - imagine a G4 processor is enough for my tasks. If anyone knows then any advice would be greatly received! Thank you all in advance

The MacBook Pros can provide up to 14W to a single port if nothing is plugged into the other port; not sure if any of the PowerBooks can do that.

I think the older TIPBs hasa 9 watt firewire output. I have had success running several
external 2&1/2 FW drives at same time!
