hey, i went to use screen sharing in leopard(got it for christmas =] ). I enabled it on two computers, it worked the first time, but then i went to connect again and it turned out to be a black screen. (I used the Macworld/Mac tip every day tip to get a list of computers.) I added a few more names looking for the right one by accident and now i have a list of 4 names of the same computer that i do not want, how do i delete computers from my list of computer names?

thanks!

It's stupid. I don't think you can without opening the preference file in Property List Viewer and removing the entries manually. I don't get why your own computer shows up in the list too. It's not like you can connect to it.

It's almost like...like they had a reason not to enable it by default!

Im sure you guys know way more than me about mac's and computer stuff in general (just switched to mac a few months ago). but now screen sharing just wont work, and i was wondering if you knew how to undo the two codes i typed in terminal? to restore screen sharing to how it worked in the very beggining? that would be very helpful.

i typed this code:

defaults write com.apple.ScreenSharing ShowBonjourBrowser_Debug 1

after i brought the appication "screen sharing" to my dock.
then i typed this one:

defaults write com.apple.ScreenSharing \
'NSToolbar Configuration ControlToolbar' -dict-add 'TB Item Identifiers' \
'(Scale,Control,Share,Curtain,Capture,FullScreen,G etClipboard,SendClipboard,Quality)'

to add more buttons and control to the toolbar in screen sharing.
hope that helps?

Remove the file com.apple.ScreenSharing.plist from (yourhomefolder)/Library/Preferences and stop ****ing with stuff Apple isn't ready with yet.

Well Macworld isn't always correct. Since you are new to Macs, I would recommend perhaps laying off the Terminal for a while.
