Hey,
Yesterday, I got a WD 250gb Passport V2 HD for my MacBook.

After some accusations of it not working with Macbooks, I was scared that it may not work and I would have to wait several more weeks to get a different one.

I would like to announce, that it did work. Now, something I did not realise before I got it was that it is for 'Windows Only' which basically means its formatted for windows, which doesn't matter because it works fine on my mac. I had some problems with permissions but they seem to have fixed themselves. Overall this is a great little gadget and I recommend it to others who need an external hard drive which is portable.

Regards,
Alex

I second the WD Passports. I am using he 160 GB with my MBPro as my Time Machine drive. I formatted it HFS+ and off it went.

Unlike Windows, the Help in the Help menu is actually useful.

But select the drive and then the Erase tab. Format as HFS+ (Journaled).

I opened up the Passport and swopped my MacBook 120gb and the Passport's 250gb drive.
My MacBook now has the 250gb drive from the passport and I have a 120gb Passport

It works fine.
