iLife does not come with Leopard. It is a separate software purchase, so that's why it does not come with it -- the original owner did not upgrade.

We bought the same machine (granted, from a relative) with 2gig RAM for $600.00, no Leopard, just what was on the original install disks. You decide.

It is a "decent" machine.
The 2.0 Core 2 Duo with more ram, bigger hard drive and a super drive for $200 more was the real deal...but they're gone now.
512 is not enough ram. But ram is cheap and easy to install.
Upgrading the HD is so easy you won't believe it. Check out the tutorial at somewhere like OWC......they've got video's showing how to do things like that online....once again really easy.
iLife isn't part of Leopard. It ships with Macbooks but that particular book shipped with iLife 06....be happy they're putting Leopard on it....I would have thought they'd ship it with it's original OS.
My opinion? I would not buy it. I'd wait for a Core 2 Duo with a Superdrive. Ram and HD size are a moot point since you'll more than likely upgrade both anyway.

Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

i'm definitely not doing anything til after macworld, just in case the release an ultra portable laptop, but you are right, the extra 200 is worth. If nothing comes out of macworld, i'll just buy one of the macbooks for 949.
