13" BLACK MacBook
1.25 GB RAM
2 GHZ Intel Core Duo
80 GB Hard Drive
3 Year Apple Care Warranty (its a year old so i assume 2 years remain)

All for $700. Its in good shape, the guy just needs some $$$ so he has to sell it.

I'd probably use it for some web design, a little photoshop, mail and the internet. I already have a imac for more serious work, and would like to have something portable as well, Id just like to make sure i wouldnt be overpaying for what i'd be getting.

Thanks.

Sounds like a good deal to me. Although I've always been a tad skeptical when purchasing used computers online. If you trust the seller, and it's in good condition, then yes, $700 is more than fair for a computer with that kind of configuration.

Good thing is its local (found on craigslist) so i could check it out first, i wouldnt do it ebay. It would be a 2 hr drive though so i wanted to check if it was worth it first.

Well, ask for the serial number also to confirm its not a stolen laptop. If they are not willing to give you a number, you may wish to steer clear of this sale. Its always a buyer beware situation via sales on craigslist or ANY other website that's not a legitimate business.

Also make sure you get the installation disks that came with the computer when it was new. Any any disks for any software that may come with it.

I agree, you wouldn't want to buy a stolen MacBook. But as for the price, I think it's a good deal! I'd check it out for sure.

Hey that's the same computer I have! Sounds like a very good price to me, considering these things ran for $1300ish brand new about a year ago.

Yea I would be careful to make sure it isn't stolen though.

I would think Apple should be able to do that. Not sure how you would work that out with the seller though.
