So here's the situation, ever since i downloaded Audio Highjack Pro i've not been able to burn dvd's or cd's...it starts to burn and gets to about 2.3% or somewhere around there and it gives me this error....

"Burning the disc failed because communication to the disc drive failed. (Error code 0x80020022)"

This is the model of my dvd burner "HL-DT-ST DVDRW GWA4080MA" i dont know if that helps

I bought the computer just over a year ago and havent had any problems until this.

Does anyone know how to fix my problem??
Please help me. I'm a Productions manager for an extreme sports Tv show up here in Lake tahoe and i need my Dvd burner to work so i can use it in my daily work. thanks alot

So you haven't made any other changes except for installing Audio Highjack Pro? Are you still using the same DVD and CD discs? What burning software are you using?

Try reducing the burning speed to see if that works. Also try different brand discs.

I hate burning. I decided today I won't be burning unless there is an exceptional reason to do so. Burning sucks.

Why's that? I think maybe in the last 5 years I've had less than a dozen failed disc burns.
For personal use (taking files back/forth to work, etc) I typically use a USB flash drive these days, but until I feel like giving away flash drives to colleagues and associates, I'll stick to 10¢ blank CDs, thank you.
