Hallo!

I'm now a proud Macbook user.
My system runs pretty fine with just one problem
Sometimes when I start my Macbook (after sleep mode) and type my password,
the Screen goes black I can see and use my mouse. Also can call my task manager, but not more.
When I close my Book and open it again (sleep mode) it runs fine.
I also can't reboot my system. It seems to me that one process is running what can't be stopped.
Is this a hardware or software problem?
And how can I fix this?
Thanks in advance

Ahhh ... my system is:

New Macbook 2 gHz (with x3100)
1 GB Ram
Leopard

I'm guessing its leopard (software) to be honest, but sorry I have no ideas of how to fix it sorry .

Just a note, have you installed all the necessary updates? Apple menu > Software update.

Yeah, I did this twice.
At first I thought the new security Update messed this up, so I've downloaded it again.
But same stuff....
Luckily this problem doesn't show very often.... ( once in a week maybe....)

I suppose if it is leopard, then all you can do is hope for a fix in the next update, unless some one else on the forums has a suggestion.

The only thing that comes to my mind is that its because of the password protection you've put on, but I'm not going to be the one to say turn off that password, just in case, but it's probably not that anyway.
