I have had an iBook for about 3 years I got from someone really cheap and it's perfect for what I do.

Here is my problem.
After about 1 minute of running the screen will seem to flicker then the whole thing will die. If I close the lid the sleeping light never comes on. When I reopen the lid, the screen is off and the computer never wakes up. If I leave it in this condition it will drain the battery in a couple of hours. I have to physically hold down the power button for 20 seconds till I hear the notebook power down. If I wait a few minutes it will turn back on but for a limited time again. I have taken the ibook apart to see if the video cabes or anything were pitched but they seem to show no wear of anytype.

Does anyone have any idea what I can do to save it? It's my favorite piece of equipment to take to school with me..

I agree, it'll be the video chip having a bad connection on the logic board. If you got 3 years out of it then you've done really well.
