[revised for clarity:]
Help! I tried to recharge my iPod Nano battery yesterday but it seemed to drain the battery instead of charge it. Froze the iPod, too. So then I restored the iPod but it was acting very unresponsive- no mounting on the desktop etc.

But then today, I plug in my thumbdrive [to either USB port] and even that is not recognized and mounted on the desktop. Apparently both USB ports have failed. I've never heard of anyone's USB ports going dead.

What do you all think is the culprit? Should I zap the PRAM or will I need to take it into a repair center?
