Hi all, I'm considering a new macbook, I was going to wait for an updated MBP but, I don't really want to spend that much since the only reason was going to be for the graphics chip, which will not get that much use really.

My questions are regarding the GMA X3100 chip in the MB.

I plan on installing XP, and maybe vista way down the road,

1) Does the X3100 support DX9? (how about 10 if I install vista?)
2) Would CivIV run better on OSX or XP on the macbook?

I never intend to run graphics intensive stuff like FPS's on the macbook, but do intend to run strategy type games such as WC3, Starcraft 2 (when it comes out!), spore, Civ4. Will the macbook be sufficient for this? It does not need to be the best, just very playable.

thanks for help.

1) Yes, DX10/SM3.0.
2) XP, as with all games.
