Is it possible to get the specs for an iBook with only the serial number?

If so, how?

Sort of. You can find out what specific model it is and figure out the base specs from that, but you won't be able to find about anything more about any BTO components like the hard drive, RAM, optical, etc. There's a site (that hopefully still exists) that decodes a serial number into model, build date, build region and like information.

Thank you, but as it turns out, I no longer need it.
