The front edge of the bottom of my track pad will no longer compress. The bottom edge compresses fine. I'm wondering whether a tiny piece of grit has gotten under it. Any suggestions on how to dislodge/clean it short of disassembling everything?

If I do need to disassemble it, how difficult is that?

Compressed air is the safe way. If that doesn't work I would turn off the computer and then maybe turn it upside down and give it a few firm but not violent taps or smack to see if that frees up the grit. Don't do this if you don't know how to do it with out damaging the computer. I hav e friends who simply can't jolt or shake something without breaking it. If you are that kind of person I would skip to the next step...open up the computer and try to get all the grit from the underside of the track pad.
