Well, I am wanting a new Mac laptop. I can get the edumacation discount from the Apple store. 100 off the Macbook Air, or 200 off the Macbook Pro. Portability is an issue, so I am leaning towards the Air. But to pass up a Macbook Pro is hard to do, as well.

Damn. I got some thinkin to do.

This will be my second laptop, used mainly for school.

Let coolness decide... since you're in school you need to be cool. Although the Pro is cool as hell, I think the Air is better, I bet nobody in your class will have such a sexy thin laptop!

No, not really. I go to ITT Tech, which is an okay school. I don't see any Macs there at all. None. Everyone is using Windows. I'm still debating with myself. I already have a 15" Dell Inspiron 1520.

Then you MUST get the MBA, no question about it.
Backups are like guns and condoms. It's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

Sell the Dell, get a MacBook Pro, and you have a great machine that can do everything you want it to, including Windows.

Hey, someone changed my thread title. No fair!

Well, I'm selling my wife the Inspiron 1720 that I have. She has her own business and needs to replace that Inspiron 8600 she keeps abusing. I'm keeping the Inspiron 1520 and buying either behind curtain number 1: The Air; or behind curtain number 2: The Pro.

I just looked at my stepson's Macbook, and the screen isn't anywhere near as bright as I need it to be. So I ruled that out. I"m thinking that the LED displays and backlit keyboards are something to *fap fap* over.

I know. That's why I'm still torn between the two.
