Hello,
I have a MacBook Pro 2.33GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 GB 667 MHz notebook, and I keep getting the "Startup disk almost full" notification when I work on images in Photoshop. I don't understand this because I have 27GB available on my startup disk. Any ideas? Surely almost 30GB is not almost full...
Thanks.

Do you still have this problem after you reboot? Caches or other temporary files may be filling up the space.

Also try Disk Inventory X (find it on Versiontracker) to see what might be taking up space.

Photoshop creates a huge and invisible virtual disc when it starts to give itself enough space to work in.

This is probably set to be bigger or almost as big as the remaining space on your machine. (you can adjust the settings in Photoshops preferences.

Also if PS crashes this large invisble files can remain on your machine hogging space. Have a look at a small utility called Whatsize to check out those big files hidden on your machine. Many people are surprised to find 4.5 GB of printer drivers!
