Hello there

I will get a powerbook from a friend with a dead HD
Is it easy to replace, and what kind of drive can I drop in?

ifixit has a great section on this - it's not straightforward, but it's not that hard if you are used to taking computers apart.

You need a 2.5" ATA or IDE hard drive. Lots of options at Newegg.

Nothing like paying 190€ for labor... although I guess the drives cost a bit more over their due to import duties and taxes.
